The ACRL Virtual Worlds Interest Group meets every 3rd Wednesday at 9am (Pacific) to share educational topics with a focus on information literacy in virtual spaces. Our main meeting space is Library Land CVL Meeting Space (Selby Park) in Second Life (Second Life URL: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Cookie/103/107/21). Simulcasting and closed captioning are available upon request.
For a list of members, visit VWIG’s ACRL Connect page.
The ACRL VWIG also explores other virtual spaces, such as the virtual world Kitely and social VR environments like AltspaceVR.
For in-world event notices, join the free “ACRL in Second Life” group in Second Life. While encouraged, you do not need to be a member of ALA or ACRL to join or attend any of the events.
