The Community Virtual Library leads projects in line with our vision, mission, and guiding principles.

CVL has hosted the ACRL Virtual Worlds Interest Group since 2009. The CVL Podcast station was moved to the Virtual Worlds Education Consortium in 2023 to reach a wider audience and allow educators to share content.

Our published projects include the Digital Citizenship Museum in Kitely, the Hypergrid Resources Library in Kitely/Avacon which is the HUB for the OpenSim grids, the Nonprofit Commons Resource Library in Second Life, partnerships with the Dickens Project and Bradbury Project (annually in Second Life).

Upcoming projects include growth of the Antique Pattern Library in Kitely to complement our sister library project.

The Marly Milena CVL Music Library was moved to Inspiration Island in 2025 and continues to hold monthly music concerts on the 4th Saturday of each month at noon Pacific Time.
